The Grey Ghost by Seckatary Hawkins

This book is mentioned near the conclusion of the story to emphasise the point that not all people how they appear and that most people are nice when you get to know them; as the children found out about ‘Boo’ Radley.  The Grey Ghost is mentioned because the main character in that book is a lot like ‘Boo’ Radley in To Kill a Mocking Bird. The Seckatary Hawkins series also had a connection to the author, as Harper Lee’s brother had a copy of the books when the two were young and she read them countless times throughout her childhood.
